  1. FINDING AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THE RECYCLING OF OUR WASTE

What if we start recycling the shoes you no longer wear? In this moment we reuse 50% of the cardboard used in shoes and we also recycle the other 50%. Apart from the fact that in our warehouse-office we recycle all waste (papers, cardboard, organic…). Moreover, we have created an office with reused materials, but it is not enough, that is why we continue investigating and testing. We show you a preview.

We are proud to have switched from vegan microfiber to plant materials with 63% organic matter such as corn. We also use bambú, recycled cotton and we clean the oceans of plastic with SEAQUAL, a thread made with plastics extracted from the sea. 

Buying our footwear is a sustainable experience that goes from zero-waste and plastic-free packaging to trying on our sneakers, shoes and feeling their comfort.

The year 2022 has been a hard and intense one, but without a doubt a year that has changed our lives and our brand. We cannot deny that we have suffered with deadlines, with the suppliers’prices increment and with a lot of unforeseen events that have forced us to reinvent ourselves and work even more. The reality is that Beflamboyant starts 2023 totally different than how it ended 2021.

Our great effort has been to remain faithful to our values. This has costs us money and time, we haven’t done any BLACK FRIDAY’S offerts or sales and we have continued to bet on improving the quality of all products WITHOUT INCREASING PRICES.

5 CHALLENGES ACHIEVED IN 2020 AND 5 SUSTAINABLE GOALS FOR 2021 BY BEFLAMBOYANT 

CERTIFICATES

We fight to eradicate #greenwashing by certifying our brand and our products. We have managed to certify each product with The Vegan Society for the next two years, that has cost us a lot of resources and dedication, keep in mind that each sneaker, shoe or boot has more than 15 different suppliers located in different regions of Europe.

If we are honest, we cannot say that our impact is zero, but we can ensure that we strive to have as a little impact as possible though constant sustainable actions, such as planting trees, reusing or waste or recycling.

Just the act of manufacturing vegan footwear has a positive impact on the environment, we consume less water, we emit less co2 and we do not contribute to animal suffering.

 

NEW PROJECTS

Throughout 2022 we have worked on a project that has made us manufacture 5.000 pairs of shoes at time… and personalized ones. But it is not time to talk about this yet, it won’t be long before you can see all the photos and you’re going to love them. Includes custom packaging and beautiful certified organic cotton bags. However, this project has consumed many hours, nerves and productive capacity. It has been quite a challenge.

 

1.- First, we exponentially improve the quality of all our products. Throughout these 3 years we have listened to your opinions and feelings about our footwear, it is comforting to know that more than 95% of our consumers are very satisfied with our vegan footwear.

But we also have to be realistic, manufacturing new products, from scratch, means that sometimes we make some mistakes that we are corrected with experience and use. We are 100% committed to improving the quality, comfort and durability of our footwear. This means changing suppliers, new materials and even introducing new labels or new ways of sewing the inner lining. A thousand changes that are sometimes imperceptible to the naked eye but that will make your new shoes much more pleasant.


2.- Second, our footwear is timeless. We continue to launch new collections but always focused on not going out of style, they are versatile, beautiful and, above all, always vegan and sustainable, but it is clear that we renew ourselves every year. That is why this 2023 we are not going to launch a new spring-summer collection. In this way we have been able to focus all our efforts on the autumn winter collection.

We have improved the quality, durability and comfort of our new footwear. From the collections that we already have, we will make some small changes that will elevate the product to a premium quality and other collections will disappear because we have to make way for the new ones.


3.- Thirdly, we are professionalizing our team. For this we have been incorporating new profiles to the team, which make Beflamboyant a great family. The reality is that the two of them, Jorge and Tatiana, are no longer enough. But we continue to put our effort into fair work, not only for our suppliers but also for our colleagues and workers.

 

GROWTH +100%

It is true that our turnover has grown by more than 100% compared to 2021, we are proud of this milestone, but above all, beyond the figures, it is organic and sustainable growth.

This year our most notable growth has been in the B2C channel, our end customers continue to bet on us.

And in 2023 we are going to implement several actions to take better care of our retailers and continue promoting B2B so that you can enjoy more physical points of sale where you can buy your Beflamboyant.

 

WE LAUNCH THE HIGH TOP BLACK COCO COLLECTION

Brutal is the word. We launch few new collections a year because our development times are very long, we dedicate a lot of time and care to create the best vegan and sustainable footwear for you. But our first boot has been overwhelmingly received. It sold out in a few days and it is already the best-selling product in proportion of the whole year, the first reference searched for on the web, and incredible ratings.

We have decided not to replace the stock until the end of August 2023…. because in 2023 we are going to renew certain details such as the labeling to unify the brand, and I can tell you in advance that… do not think only of “BLACK”.
