2. FINDING AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THE RECYCLING OF OUR WASTE
What if we started recycling the shoes you no longer wear? Currently, we reuse 50% of the cardboard used in our shoes and recycle the other 50%. Additionally, in our warehouse-office, we recycle all waste, including paper, cardboard, and organic materials. We have even created an office using reused materials, but we know that it's not enough. That's why we're continually researching and testing new sustainable practices. We're excited to show you a preview of what's to come.

5. KEEP LOOKING FOR MORE VEGAN AND SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS WITH MORE POSITIVE IMPACT
We take pride in having transitioned from using vegan microfiber to using plant-based materials that are 63% organic, such as corn. Additionally, we incorporate bamboo and recycled cotton, and we clean the oceans of plastic by using SEAQUAL, a thread made with plastics extracted from the sea.
Purchasing our footwear provides a sustainable experience that includes zero-waste, plastic-free packaging and trying on our sneakers and shoes to feel their comfort.If you're unfamiliar with vegan shoes, this blog post is for you. 2022 has been a hard and intense one, however a year that has changed our lives and our brand. We cannot deny that we have suffered with deadlines, with supplier's price increase and plenty of unforeseen events that have forced us to reinvent ourselves and work even more. Beflamboyant starts totally different 2023 than how it ended in 2021.
Our great effort has been to remain faithful to our values. This has costs us money and time, we haven’t done any BLACK FRIDAY’S offerts or sales and we have continued to bet on improving the quality of all products WITHOUT INCREASING PRICES.
5 CHALLENGES ACHIEVED IN 2020 AND 5 SUSTAINABLE GOALS FOR 2021 BY BEFLAMBOYANT
We are committed to eradicating #greenwashing by certifying both our brand and our products. We have successfully obtained certification from The Vegan Society for each of our products for the next two years, which has required significant resources and dedication.
It's important to keep in mind that each sneaker, shoe, or boot we produce involves over 15 different suppliers located in various regions across Europe.
While we acknowledge that our impact is not zero, we strive to minimize it as much as possible through continuous sustainable practices, such as planting trees, reusing waste, and recycling. The act of manufacturing vegan footwear alone has a positive impact on the environment, as we consume less water, emit less CO2, and do not contribute to animal suffering.
In 2022, we embarked on a project to manufacture 5,000 personalized pairs of shoes, but it's not yet time to reveal the details. We can't wait to share all the photos with you, as we're sure you'll love them. Each pair comes with custom packaging and beautiful certified organic cotton bags. However, this project consumed a lot of time, energy, and production capacity, making it quite a challenge.
1. We have exponentially improved the quality of all our products. Over the past three years, we have listened to your feedback and thoughts about our footwear, and we are delighted to know that over 95% of our customers are highly satisfied with our vegan products.
However, we must also be realistic. Manufacturing new products from scratch can sometimes result in mistakes that we learn from and correct over time. We are 100% committed to enhancing the quality, comfort, and durability of our footwear. This involves changing suppliers, using new materials, and even introducing new labels or ways of sewing the inner lining. These thousand changes are sometimes imperceptible to the naked eye but make your new shoes much more pleasant.
2. Secondly, our footwear is timeless. While we continue to launch new collections, we always prioritize creating styles that won't go out of fashion. They are versatile, beautiful, and, above all, always vegan and sustainable. However, it's clear that we renew ourselves every year. That's why we won't be launching a new spring-summer collection in 2023. This way, we've been able to focus all our efforts on the autumn-winter collection.
We've enhanced the quality, durability, and comfort of our new footwear. From our existing collections, we'll make small changes to elevate the product to a premium level, while some collections will disappear to make way for the new ones.
3. Thirdly, we are professionalizing our team. To achieve this, we've been incorporating new profiles to the team, which has made Beflamboyant feel like a great family. The reality is that the two of us, Jorge and Tatiana, are no longer enough to keep up with the growing demand. However, we remain committed to fair work practices not only for our suppliers but also for our colleagues and workers.
It is true that our turnover has grown by more than 100% compared to 2021, and we are proud of this milestone. But more than the figures, we're proud of the organic and sustainable growth we've achieved.
This year, we've experienced significant growth in the B2C channel, as our end customers continue to support us.
In 2023, we plan to implement several actions to better support our retailers and continue promoting B2B, so that you can enjoy more physical points of sale where you can purchase Beflamboyant products.
WE LAUNCH THE HIGH TOP BLACK COCO COLLECTION
"Brutal" is the word. We only launch a few new collections each year because our development times are very long. We dedicate a lot of time and care to create the best vegan and sustainable footwear for you. However, our first boot has been overwhelmingly received. It sold out in just a few days and has already become the best-selling product in proportion to our entire year's sales. It's also the first reference searched for on the web, and has received incredible ratings.
We have decided not to restock the boot until the end of August 2023. In that year, we will be renewing certain details, such as unifying the brand's labeling. I can tell you in advance that we won't be sticking to just "BLACK".
